Removing Troubled Teeth

Removing Troubled Teeth
Young Woman without Tooth on Lower Jaw — Dental in Lake Heaven, NSW
If you are suffering from a broken or infected tooth, it may need to be removed. At Dental at Lake Haven, we have advanced equipment at our disposal to carry out extractions. Rest assured, we are committed to keeping discomfort to a minimum while we carry out the service, and our friendly staff will spare no effort to help you feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible. At our Central Coast dental practice, the wellbeing of our patients always comes first. If damage or decay has extended to the pulp – the interior of the tooth – it may be possible to remedy the issue with a root canal treatment so that the tooth does not need to be extracted. However, if the damage is extensive, an extraction may be required in order to prevent the infection from spreading. Our Central Coast dentists will conduct a thorough examination of your teeth and recommend the best choice of action. To find out more about our extraction services, or book an appointment, contact us today. We also provide cleaning, implants, dentures and an array of other dental services.

If you notice face or gum swelling, difficulty opening your mouth, the presence of pus or incessant bleeding, it’s important to get in contact with your dentist as soon as possible. An infection may be present.

If local anaesthetic was administered, you should be able to drive home immediately. However, you should avoid driving for at least 24 hours if a sedative was used, or 48 hours if you were put under general anaesthetic.
