Root Canal Treatments
A root canal procedure entails the removal of decay from within a tooth’s pulp and root. It typically takes 2 or more treatments to complete in its entirety. Anaesthetic is required for the treatment.
Typically, the root canal process entails the following steps:
- The infected tooth is wrapped in thin rubber to prevent root canals from being contaminated.
- The bacteria & decay within the tooth’s root, pulp & nerve is extracted.
- The tooth is disinfected & dried.
- The ‘gutta-percha’ root material is added.
- The area around the tooth is sealed to prevent further decay.
Our team is highly trained in ensuring pain free root canal treatments, contrary to popular belief. We will also spare no effort to accommodate any unique requirements you may have. As we are a family dental practice, we are happy to provide root canals for patients of all ages.

At our Central Coast dental practice, we work with advanced materials to provide seamless fillings. By far the most popular variety of filling we offer is comprised of composite resin, which has a natural tooth-like colour and texture.
Typically, the process by which we implement the filling entails the following:
- The decay is removed from the tooth.
- The tooth is filled with special adhesives & composite resin.
- The filling is shaped & polished.
- Stains are administered to give the filling a more natural appearance.
Modern filling treatments have advanced considerably in recent years, so you don’t need to worry about getting stuck with a silver filling. We are committed to helping you smile with confidence.
